Unit 5 - God Speaks, Part 1
Verse to remember
John 8:47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.
Do you hear God speaking to you? If you do not, perhaps it is time to review your relationship with Him. Where are you going wrong? What ways can you adjust you life to be in a better position to hear Him when He speaks to you.
Day 1 - God Speaks in Different Ways
In the Old Testament God spoke in many ways, such as directly to people such as Abraham and Moses, and He also spoke through the prophets. In the New Testament God spoke through Jesus and then sent the Holy Spirit. Now God speaks to us by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church.
As we develop our relationship with God He will reveal His will. He will also reveal His plan and the direction we are to take. We should pray and wait, learn patience and depend on God's timing.
